DubaiMilano (The Royal Mocktail)
Ingredients:
- 1 or double shot of Espresso
- Seven Dates Original
- Ice cubes
- 3 coffee beans
Directions
Chill the Glassware: Place the short tumbler or Martini glass in the freezer for a few minutes, or chill it with ice water while preparing the ingredients, discarding the water just before pouring. A frosty glass is essential for this crisp beverage.
The Sparkling Base: Pour ice-cold Seven Dates Original into the chilled glass until it is exactly half full, ensuring you preserve its delicate, natural effervescence.
The Espresso Shake: Pull a fresh, premium single shot of espresso. Pour the hot espresso into a cocktail shaker generously filled with solid ice cubes. Shake vigorously and rapidly for about 10 seconds. This quick chilling process aerates the coffee, creating a dense, velvety crema while preventing excessive dilution.
The Perfect Layering: Using a strainer, gently and slowly pour the chilled, shaken espresso over the cold Seven Dates. The aerated coffee will naturally float to the surface, creating a striking, perfectly defined two-toned visual effect between the amber sparkle and the dark crema.
The Aristocratic Garnish: Thread 3 small, precisely cut cubes of premium date onto a silver or dark wood mini-pick. Rest the skewer elegantly across the rim of the glass. Finally, delicately place a few whole roasted coffee beans onto the thick espresso foam.
Serve: Present immediately while the distinct layers hold their sharp contrast and the espresso foam remains thick and inviting.
